The total length of the beach shore is 14 300 meters. A bigger part of the beaches have the east, north-east and south-east black sea coast, which offers optimal conditions for developing the tourism in these areas. The total length of the beaches in the Byala municipality is 6244 meters or about 16% of the total beaches length in the Varna district area.
Karadere, one of Bulgaria's last remaining wild beaches with pristine dunes and freshwater wetlands is situated in Byala vicinity.
There are several hotels, camping areas and a lot of holiday homes in the resort. Byala is a rich wine center, with traditions in the wine industry that date back from ancient times. The wine of the extremely fine vintage "Dimyat" is produced there.
A small yacht port is now being constructed on the coast of Byala. It boasts an impressive setting atop bluffs that end abruptly at the water’s edge. Stairs lead down to a secluded beach that curves north toward rocky Cape Atanas. To the south, another promontory separates the small sandy strip from the beach at Obzor. Byala with its favourable conditions – crystal sea, sandy beach and a forest – offers wonderful opportunities for recreation.
